Fillers: Restore Volume, Redefine Your Natural Beauty

As we age, we naturally lose volume in our cheeks, lips, and around the eyes, which can make us look more tired or older than we feel. Dermal fillers are one of the most effective ways to restore that volume, soften lines, and bring your features back into harmony, all without surgery and with results you can see immediately. At Transformation MediSpa, Kathy Haney has been performing filler treatments in Houston for over 20 years. She was among the first injectors in the country to work with Radiesse, and she brings that depth of experience to every syringe she places.

What Are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers are FDA-approved injectable gels that add volume, smooth lines, and restore youthful contours to the face and hands. Unlike neurotoxins, which relax muscles, fillers physically fill in areas that have lost volume or developed deeper lines over time. Most fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the body, making them safe, well-tolerated, and reversible if needed. Radiesse works differently by stimulating your body's own collagen production for longer-lasting structural support.

Common treatment areas include:

  • Lips (volume and definition)
  • Cheeks and midface volume
  • Nasolabial folds (smile lines)
  • Marionette lines
  • Under-eye hollows (tear troughs)
  • Jawline definition
  • Chin projection
  • Temple hollowing
  • Nose reshaping (non-surgical rhinoplasty)
  • Hand rejuvenation

Which Filler Is Right for You?

We offer three filler families so Kathy can match the right product to your specific goals, anatomy, and lifestyle. Every recommendation is based on what is genuinely best for your face, not a product quota.

Lasts up to 18 months

Radiesse

Radiesse is a calcium-based filler that both immediately adds volume and stimulates your body's natural collagen production over time. It provides exceptional structural support for cheeks, jawlines, and hands. Kathy was among the first injectors in Houston and the U.S. to work with Radiesse, giving her a level of expertise with this product that is rare in the city.

Lasts 6 to 12 months

Restylane

Restylane is a hyaluronic acid filler family with several specialized formulas, each designed for a specific area or concern. From subtle lip enhancement to deep cheek volume to fine line smoothing, there is a Restylane product tailored for the job. It integrates naturally with your tissue for results that look and feel like you.

Lasts up to 15 months

RHA Collection

RHA (Resilient Hyaluronic Acid) is the first filler collection specifically designed to move with your face. Traditional fillers can sometimes look stiff in areas of high movement. RHA's unique formulation adapts dynamically, making it ideal for treating lines and folds in expressive areas of the face.

Restylane Product Guide

The Restylane family offers several specialized formulas. During your consultation, Kathy will determine which product or combination of products is right for your specific goals.

Restylane

The original formula. Ideal for moderate facial wrinkles, nasolabial folds, and adding subtle lip volume with a natural finish.

Restylane Lyft

A thicker formula designed for deeper volume loss in the cheeks and midface, as well as hand rejuvenation.

Restylane Refyne

A flexible formula for softening moderate nasolabial folds and marionette lines while preserving natural facial movement.

Restylane Defyne

Designed for deeper lines and more significant volume loss. Provides support in areas that need a firmer structural result.

Restylane Contour

Specifically formulated for cheek augmentation and contouring, delivering natural-looking lift and definition.

Restylane Kysse

Kathy's go-to for lip enhancement. Kysse is specially designed for the lips, providing soft, natural volume and color vibrancy that moves with every expression.

RHA Collection Guide

The RHA Collection offers four formulas, each calibrated for different levels of tissue depth and movement.

RHA Redensity

The lightest formula in the collection, specifically designed for the delicate skin around the mouth and perioral lines where other fillers can look unnatural.

RHA 2

A medium-density formula for moderate dynamic lines and wrinkles in areas of regular facial movement.

RHA 3

A versatile formula for moderate to severe dynamic facial lines, including nasolabial folds and marionette lines.

RHA 4

The most robust formula in the collection, designed for deeper folds and areas requiring significant volume and structural support.

What to Expect

Before Your Appointment

Arrive with a clean face. Avoid blood thinners like aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, or Vitamin E for several days beforehand to reduce bruising risk. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment. Check with your physician before stopping any prescribed medications.

During Your Appointment

Kathy will assess your facial anatomy, review your goals, and map out the injection plan. A topical numbing cream is applied beforehand for comfort. Most fillers also contain lidocaine to further minimize discomfort during the treatment. The actual injections typically take 20 to 45 minutes depending on the areas treated.

After Your Appointment

Some swelling, redness, and mild bruising at injection sites is normal and typically resolves within a few days to one week. Avoid strenuous exercise, excessive heat (saunas, hot yoga), and direct sun exposure for 24 to 48 hours. Do not massage the treated areas unless instructed by Kathy.

Results Timeline

Results from most fillers are visible immediately, though initial swelling may temporarily exaggerate the effect. Final results are typically visible within 1 to 2 weeks once swelling fully resolves. Kathy recommends a follow-up appointment at 2 weeks for new patients to assess results and make any refinements.

Why Get Your Fillers at Transformation

Fillers require a provider who understands facial anatomy at a deep level. Placed correctly, they create beautiful, natural results. Placed incorrectly, they can look overdone or uneven. Kathy's 20 plus years of experience, combined with her early adoption of leading filler technologies like Radiesse, means you are in exceptionally skilled hands. She takes the time to study your face before she ever picks up a syringe, and her philosophy of conservative, thoughtful enhancement means you will always look like yourself, just a more refreshed version.

Pioneer-Level Experience

Kathy was among the first injectors in Houston and the U.S. to offer Radiesse. That kind of early expertise translates directly into better, more refined results for her patients today.

One Provider, Every Time

You see Kathy at every visit. She knows your face, your history, and your goals. That continuity leads to better outcomes and a more comfortable experience than starting over with someone new each time.

Natural Results Philosophy

Kathy's goal is never to change your face. It is to restore what time has taken and enhance what is already there. Patients consistently describe her work as natural, tasteful, and confidence-boosting.

Free Consultations, No Pressure

We never rush you into a decision. Your consultation is always free and there is no obligation to proceed. We would rather you leave informed and confident than hurried into a treatment you are not ready for.

Fillers FAQ

Botox and other neurotoxins relax the muscles that cause expression lines and wrinkles. Fillers physically add volume to areas that have lost fullness or to smooth lines that exist even at rest. Many patients benefit from both treatments used together, which Kathy calls a liquid facelift approach.
It depends on the treatment areas and how much volume restoration you are looking for. Most patients use one to three syringes per session. Kathy will give you a specific recommendation and cost estimate during your free consultation before any treatment begins.
Most patients find fillers very tolerable. We apply a topical numbing cream before treatment and most fillers contain lidocaine, which further reduces discomfort during the injection. Areas like the lips can be more sensitive, but Kathy works carefully and prioritizes your comfort throughout.
Results vary by product and individual. Radiesse typically lasts up to 18 months. Restylane products last 6 to 12 months depending on the formula and placement. RHA fillers last up to 15 months. Factors like metabolism, lifestyle, and the area treated all affect longevity.
Natural results are Kathy's signature. She believes in enhancing your features, not changing them. She starts conservatively, especially with new patients, and builds gradually to ensure you are comfortable with and happy with your results at every step.
Most patients can return to their normal activities the same day. You may experience some swelling, redness, or mild bruising at the injection sites for a few days. We recommend avoiding strenuous exercise and excessive heat for 24 to 48 hours. Many patients schedule their appointments on a Thursday or Friday to give themselves the weekend to settle.
Hyaluronic acid fillers like Restylane and RHA can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if needed. Radiesse is not reversible in the same way, which is one of the reasons Kathy's careful, conservative approach with that product is so important. She will always discuss this with you before treatment.
Each Restylane formula has a different thickness and flexibility designed for a specific area or concern. Kysse is ideal for lips, Lyft for cheeks and hands, Refyne and Defyne for lines and folds, and Contour for cheek definition. Kathy will recommend the right formula or combination based on your specific goals during your consultation.
Fillers are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for patients with certain autoimmune conditions or allergies to filler ingredients. Kathy will review your full health history during your consultation to ensure you are a good candidate before any treatment is recommended.
